Padgett-Swann Machinery utilizes cutting-edge technology and state-of-the art machinery. Large capacity lathes, vertical boring mills, and horizontal boring mills are the backbone of the covered 22,000 square foot machine shop.

SHAFT MANUFACTURING AND REPAIR

Padgett-Swann Machinery offers the finest quality in precision manufacturing and straightening of shafting up to 36" diameter and 55' long. Materials used include all types of alloys and stainless variants. All major equipment components are digitally aligned.

BLUE-FIT OF PROPELLERS AND COUPLINGS

Hundreds of propellers and shafts are manufactured and repaired annually. Years of experience have honed Padgett-Swann Machinery’s tooling techniques and expertise to frequently blue-fit propellers, couplings, impellers and gears to shafts giving Padgett-Swann an advantage over other shops. The capability to blue-fit three propellers over 120” to shafts simultaneously means quicker turn-around, thus reducing drydock time.

WELDING

Expert services are performed by certified welders using all types of welding processes and steel fabrication including FCAW (Flux Core), SMAW (Metal Arc), GMAW (Mig), GTAW (Tig) and SAW (Sub Arc), as well as several bronze alloys, stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloy steel of all types including cast iron.
